MBA INVENTORY, SERVICE AND SALES SYSTEM
 
Diangraha Mobile Devices division integrates their national-wide service centers

To better assist its fast growing mobile device division, Dian Graha decided to reengineer its service center system to take advantage of the Internet technology and further reach its scattered service centers.

Understanding the nature of distribution and service network which has scattered service centers in the cities around the country to faster serve the customers, it is important to have robust yet efficient customer care system which can be easily accessed, without compromising the security, throughout those plenty of different service level service centers. This web-based service center system should provide up-to-date and centralized database, which is accessible from the Internet as the chosen communication medium. Branch and SMDCC offices will be provided with scheduled database update to the central database.



Objectives

  • Integrate the web-based Intranet system with the Internet site, which will serve DGE’s service centers that are distributed in the entire nation.
  • The web site will provide instant and convenience online reporting tools (workshop, sales, statistic) for different level of user both on the DGE and SMDCCs side. The site will also act as a Consolidated Information Center (for service, sales, inventory)
  • Data Integrity Check
    Ensure that the data integrity does not changed, i.e. the replicated data in the Internet database should contain the same information/data with the original data in the Master Database.
    Since SQL database contains all the tables and data, it is responsible for maintaining integrity between tables.
  • Normalized Database Optimization
    Apply normalization to the SQL DB to enhance performance and manageability.
  • Manageable Security Access
    Access Right can be made flexible, certain users with same role may have different access rights requirement.

Solution

Menaravisi developed a customized inventory and service center application for DGE Mobile Devices division to suit their particular needs. With Menaravisi Inventory, Service and Customer Care application and appropriate customization, we provide integration of inventory module(including stock, inventory, stock opname, purchase order, etc), service module (service order, service invoice, service order status tracking, etc), sales order(including sales order, sales invoice), master module to ensure master table dynamic user control and site admin core module to let you fullly control the user group, user and group privileges.

Application develop on Microsoft Platform, running Windows 2000 Server with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the database tier and Visual Basic COM as the middle-tier and Active Server Pages as the script language for the front-tier.

Client computer only needs Internet Explorer Browser version 5.5 or above to run all application. Reports are dynamically generated from the database by running Crystal Report. These reports of course need to be customized for each different company.


Dian Graha has three different departments, which are Information & Communication, Medical & Health Care, and Power & Industrial System. Information & Communication department consists of several sections such as Enterprise Networks, Test Equipment, Net Accessories and Mobile Devices business units. Mobile Devices business unit covers mobile phones, digital products, analog products and cellular engines. DGE Mobile Devices Business Units is the sole distributors of Siemens Mobile Devices in Indonesia.
